Imec shows new eye-tracking system for standard glasses

Friday 25 May 2018 | 10:54 CET | News
Belgian research group Imec has demonstrated a new wireless eye-tracking technology based on electro-oculography (EOG), an ophthalmology technique used to examine eyes and record eye movement. Presented at its technology forum in Antwerp, the system is integrated into a standard pair of eyeglasses in order to improve augmented reality and virtual reality (AR/VR) experiences. Imec sees opportunities for clinical research as well, for example on neurodegenerative diseases.
