India ends March with almost 722 million GSM subscribers

India ended March with a total of 721.9 million GSM subscribers, according to industry association Coai. During March, mobile operators added 8.26 million GSM subscribers, an increase of 1.16 percent compared to the previous month. At the end of the first quarter, the market was lead by Airtel, with 205.4 million GSM subscribers, after a net addition of 1.89 million GSM subscribers in March. Vodafone ended March with 166.56 million GSM subscribers, after adding 2.22 million subscribers during the month. Idea Celluar had 135.79 million subscribers, after adding 2.24 million new customers in
