India tells Apple to comply with sourcing rules - report

India's Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) has ruled that Apple must comply with regulations to procure 30 percent of components locally if it wants to sell products through its own retail stores, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed people with direct knowledge of matter. Apple makes most of its products in China, and does not currently meet this criteria. The FIPB decision will now be submitted to the government for ratification, but it can also be overruled.
