India tops 1 bln Aadhaar biometrics ID system registrations

NEC has announced that INDia has toppwd 1 billion people registered for the Aadhaar Program operated by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). NEC provides a large-scale biometrics identification system that utilizes fingerprints, face images, and iris images for this national identification system.
