Indonesia smartphone shipments fall 9% in Q4

Smartphone shipments in Indonesia declined by 9 percent year-on-year in Q4 2017 to 7.8 million units, according to data from IDC. Total smartphone units reached 30.4 million in 2017, a relatively flat growth of 1 percent over 2016. The reason for the year-on-year decline was due to a combination of lower shipment supply and competition from the top players that impacted some vendors.
