Industry associations want more from German government's 5G strategy

The 5G strategy as presented by the German federal government needs more than one MoU with regards to health protection to ensure acceptance by the German population, according to the German federation of communication engineers Ifkom. As 5G networks need a lot a more antennas then current mobile networks, the German population needs to be informed about the lower health risks as the radiation levels will be lower due to the higher density of antennas as well as the use of frequencies above 24 GHz that enables operators to decrease the radiation levels needed for optimum use.
