Monday 14 August 2017 | 15:17 CET | News

German broadband operator Inexio is planning to launch its own IPTV service this autumn. The company outlined the plans for the service called Quix in its in-house magazine.

The service is expected to offer around 100 channels, including 45 in HD, as well as a range of radio stations and access to third-party VoD services such as Maxdome and YouTube. Customers will benefit from replay, time-shift and other interactive functions and access to the service across multiple screens and devices, including a mobile app. Subscribers can set up up to 12 user profiles and parental controls and record multiple programmes simultaneously, with storage for up to 100 hours of content.

No pricing details were announced. The service is expected to be bundles with Inexio's broadband and telephony services.
