
Infineon has named Jochen Hanebeck as its new Chief Executive Officer effective from 01 April next year. Hanebeck succeeds Reinhard Ploss, who has been CEO at the company since 2012. Hanebeck has been a member of the management board and Chief Operations Officer since 2016. He was reappointed for five years and his contract runs until 31 March 2027.
Ploss has been a member of Infineon's management board since 2007 and chairman since 2012. Under his tenure, the strategic approach "Product to System" was established and the portfolio was expanded via the acquisitions of International Rectifier and Cypress Semiconductor Corp. Ploss began his career at Infineon in 1986 as a process engineer.
