Infineon plans capital increase to finance acquisition of Cypress Semiconductor

Infineon Technologies has announced a capital increase of 10 percent to raise gross proceeds of approximately EUR 1.5 billion. The proceeds will be used to partially finance the acquisition of Cypress Semiconductor. The new shares will be offered to institutional investor in the context of a private placement through an accelerated bookbuilding.
