ING expects over 1 bln sessions on banking app this yr

Mobile banking apps are among the top three most popular category of apps, topped only by social media and the weather, a study from ING revealed. Five years after the launch of the ING Mobile Banking App, the number of users has reached to 2.8 million (2015: 2.4 million). Per month, the bank records an average of 87 million log-in sessions and 17 million payments. For the full year 2016, ING expects a total of 383 million log-in sessions via a computer and 1.035 billion ones from a mobile device.
