ING offers cash prizes to increase banking app downloads

Dutch bank ING has started a competition for customers who download its mobile app in May to win EUR 1,000. Other cash prizes will also be offered to customers who activate the app for the first time. The ING app is used by around 2.5 million customers and receives an average rating of 4 stars, the bank said. According to Telecompaper research, around 29 percent of Dutch smartphones carry the ING banking app, equal to around 3.5 million handsets.
