ING opens Android mobile payments app to all customers

Dutch bank ING has made its mobile payments app available for all customers with Android mobile devices. Customers need to have a device running Android 4.4 or higher with NFC in order to make use of the service. The mobile payments app was already tested with around 10,000 customers in recent months. ING said contactless payments are available at over 100,000 sales points throughout the Netherlands, and around 65 percent of Android phones in use in the country can make use of the service. ING is offering the mobile payments service free for six months, after which it will charge 50 cents a
