ING to introduce mobile contactless payments this summer

ING announced it will introduce mobile contactless payments this summer. The service will be aimed at customers with an NFC enabled Android smartphone, running on KitKat 4.4 up. The banking group is currently in the final testing phase of the service with a group of employees of the Mobile Banking app. Once the trial is complete, the service will be rolled out nationwide. No launch date has, however, yet been announced. ING is the first bank in the Netherlands to move into HCE (Host Emulation Card) services.
