ING withdraws Twyp payment app

Monday 21 November 2016 | 09:43 CET | News
ING is dropping its mobile payments app Twyp, after finding customers had little use for a separate app not linked to their bank account. Twyp (The Way You Pay) was launched in January and updated again in June, when ING told Telecompaper it was satisfied with the new service. However, the bank now says it will shut down the app from 15 December. ING said customers did not find enough added value in the app, which is not linked to a bank account.
