Inmarsat appoints new head for maritime business unit

Inmarsat has appointed Ben Palmer the president of its maritime business unit, effective 8 November. Palmer was most recently head of Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems division across Europe. He succeeds Ronald Spithout, who has been with Inmarsat since 1988.
