Inmarsat FY profits rise on stable revenues

Satellite services provider Inmarsat reported revenues of USD 1.29 billion for 2014, up from USD 1.26 billion a year earlier. Its maritime segment grew by 13.5 percent to USD 596 million, with organic growth of 3.2 percent excluding acquisitions. Government revenues fell 21.7 percent to USD 320 million, enterprise revenue dropped 24.8 percent to USD 167 million, and aviation revenues were up 38 percent to USD 101 million. The company also received USD 75.4 million from its settlement with LightSquared. EBITDA increased to USD 701 million from USD 649 million in 2013, and the net profit jumped
