Inmarsat Q3 sales up 6% on aviation, govt growth

Thursday 3 November 2016 | 09:50 CET | News
Inmarsat reported third-quarter revenues up 5.8 percent year-on-year to USD 341.9 million, thanks to growth in the government market and its new aviation services. EBITDA increased 13.5 percent to USD 204.6 million, while net profit was down 13.3 percent to USD 53.9 million. Inmarsat lowered its capital expenditure budget for the year to USD 400-500 million as the I-5 F4, its fourth GX satellite, will be delayed into 2017 after the SpaceX crash in Septemner. The company said it's still assessing the impact of the SpaceX rocket problems.
