Intel, MIPS modules to support Google's Brillo OS at launch

Intel and Imagination Technologies have announced that their Edison and MIPS processors are fully supported by Google's new Internet of Things (IoT) development platform, called Brillo. The Android-based Brillo OS, for which Google has now released source code via an invitation programme, is intended to help developers and manufacturers build connected devices. In a statement, Intel said its Edison compute module is one of the first platforms to support Brillo and is well suited for makers interested in quick prototyping and fast time-to-market for IoT devices.
