Intel powers stores robot, to invest USD 100 mln in retail

Intel introduced an Intel-powered robot that checks stocks on stores' shelves and also presented its plans to invest more than USD 100 million over the next five years in the retail industry. Described as the world's first such product, Simbe Robotics' Tally walks alone in stores during stores' working hours and ensures products are always stocked, in the right place and displaying the correct price tag. The USD 100 million investment in retail will go toward enabling retailers to unify every part of the retail operation.
