Intel produces quantum computing 17-qubit chip

Intel said it has delivered a 17-qubit superconducting test chip for quantum computing to QuTech, Intel's quantum research partner in the Netherlands. The chip was made by Intel and is a move beyond the lab towards the production of real systems. Quantum computing however remains very much in its early stages. Intel's collaborative relationship with QuTech to accelerate advancements in quantum computing began in 2015.
