Intel, Tencent YouTu team on AI products to provide customer insights

Friday 2 November 2018 | 10:34 CET | News
Intel announced two new AI collaborations with Tencent YouTu Lab: the DeepGaze AI camera and the YouBox AI box. Powered by the Intel Movidius Myriad 2 vision processing unit (VPU), the DeepGaze AI camera provides retail businesses with data about the ways in which shoppers move around the store and the number of shoppers in the store at various times of day. The smart cameras handle the pre-processing and object detection, with relevant data transferred to Tencent's cloud, based on Intel Xeon Scalable processors, for deeper analytics.
