Intelsat lowers FY guidance over satellite failure

Tuesday 30 April 2019 | 16:46 CET | News
Intelsat reported a net loss of USD 120.6 million for the three months to March, which widened from losses of USD 111 million and 66.8 million in the previous quarter and year-earlier period respectively. The adjusted EBITDA result declined by 9 percent year-on-year to USD 380.3 million, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 72 percent, down from 77 percent in Q1 2018. The contraction reflected higher direct costs, as well as lower revenues, which dropped 3 percent to USD 528.4 million.
