Intelsat posts Q3 loss, adjusts FY capex guidance

Intelsat reported a net loss of USD 375 million for the three months to September, widening from a loss of USD 30 million in the year-earlier period, as the quarter was hit by two non-cash adjustments (a USD 204 million loss on early extinguishment of debt and a USD 108 million provision for income taxes). Under ASC 606, adjusted EBITDA stood at USD 416 million. Excluding ASC 606, EBITDA fell by 7 percent year-on-year to USD 390 million, reflecting lower revenues. Looking ahead to the full-year results, the company confirmed its EBITDA target but revised downward the capital expenditure
