Interdigital says UK court rules in its favour vs Lenovo in first patent judgement

InterDigital said the UK High Court found that Lenovo infringed one of its patents in the first of five technical judgements due in the dispute between the two companies. According to the company, the court found that the patent-in-suit in question, relating to the 4G/LTE standard, is valid and essential to the technology. InterDigital initiated legal proceedings against Lenovo in the UK and in US district court in 2019, claiming Lenovo had declined to pay for a licence to its wireless patent portfolio.
