InterDigital spins off IoT software unit Chordant

Friday 1 February 2019 | 11:42 CET | News
Mobile technology R&D specialist InterDigital has announced the launch of its IoT business Chordant as a standalone company. Shortly after revealing Sony's investment in the IoT platform, InterDigital said the spin off is designed to give Chordant added independence and flexibility in driving into its core operator and smart city markets. Chordant provides a oneM2M standards-compliant horizontal IoT platform as well as a real-time data marketplace launched under the oneTransport brand in the UK in October 2017.
