Investment funds to become main shareholders of Oi

Two years after undergoing judicial reorganization, Oi will have investment funds among the major shareholders. GoldenTree, York, Solus, Canyon and Brookfield will be, in this order, the largest shareholders of the Brazilian telecommunications operator, reports O Globo. According to market sources, with a global investment portfolio of around USD 361 billion, these funds will have about 30 percent of the capital of Latin America's largest telecom operator. Portuguese company Pharol (formerly Portugal Telecom), with 22 percent, will own 7.4 percent of the shares, a level similar to that of
