IPCom loses patent infringement case against Apple

IPCom has lost a patent infringement case brought against Apple in Germany. Apple doesn't infringe two patents asserted by IPCom, according to the ruling from the court in Mannheim, reported by Bloomberg. HTC also won dismissal of a related IPCom claim over one of the patents. IPCom holds the former patent portfolio of Bosch. Its case centred on patented technology used to decide priority for calls on mobile networks, including emergency calls. The European patent in the case against Apple, called 100A by IPCom, was struck down by the European Patent Office in 2012 after Apple, Nokia, HTC,
