iPhone takes lion's share of smartphone wholesale revenues in Q4

Apple took 51 percent of the USD 120 billion recorded for global smartphone wholesale revenues, according to estimates by Strategy Analytics for the fourth quarter. Apple's revenues amounted to USD 61.4 billion and came out far ahead of Samsung with its USD 18.9 billion (15.7% market share) and Huawei with USD 8.4 billion (7%). Other manufacturer combined revenues reached USD 31.5 billion. Smartphone wholesale revenues grew 8 percent in the year to reach an all-time high in Q4. The smartphone industry's wholesale average selling price surged 18 percent annually to USD 300 from 255 the year
