Irish data protection regulator handling over 50 GDPR investigations

Ireland's Data Protection Commission has opened 54 investigations into the compliance of tech companies with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation. In a statement to mark the one-year anniversary of the GDPR, the regulator said 19 of those investigations are cross-border, covering companies with multinational operations.
