Irish data regulator welcomes 22% budget hike

Ireland's Data Protection Commission (DPC) said the additional EUR 4.1 million in funding announced by the government would allow it to ramp up its enforcement of EU data protection law. The increase in funding for 2022 brings the total allocation for the DPC to EUR 23.2 million, around 22 percent more than its 2021 allocation.
