Irish ISPs face lawsuit over illegal streaming

Ireland's biggest ISPs are facing a court case brought by the six biggest US studios in an attempt to stop illegal streaming of their films and TV shows, the Irish Times reports. The Commercial Court was told 06 February that as many as 1.3 million people in the country may be involved in illegally accessing the video content through various streaming websites. The legal action is against Eircom, Sky Ireland, Vodafone Ireland, Virgin Media Ireland, Digiweb, Imagine Telecommunications, Magnet Networks and two divisions of Three Ireland.
