Irish telecom revenues up slightly in Q2, boosted by mobile, M2M

Telecom revenues in Ireland reached EUR 872.3 million in the second quarter, up 0.4 percent from the first quarter, according to the latest study from ComReg. The rise was mainly pushed by mobile and M2M, though fixed also contributed. Mobile voice traffic went up 1.3 percent to 3.1 billion, but was not able to offset declines at fixed voice traffic, down 10.8 percent to 785.3 million. Total voice traffic slipped 1.4 percent to 3.1 billion.
