Israeli cabinet approves Covid-19 tracking app bill

Israel's cabinet has unanimously approved the bill which authorises the General Security Services (Shin Bet) to track Israelis in the Covid-19 pandemic, Globes reported. The bill must now pass the Knesset to be enacted as a law. It was approved despite opposition by the Shin Bet chief Nadav Argaman, who considered it was not appropriate for his organisation to track people using a civilian app.
