Italian digital agency defines areas of priority investment

Italy's ministry for economic development (MiSE) has signed a framework agreement with the country's digital agency AGID to define five areas of priority investment for the initial EUR 2.2 billion of public funds made available under the country's EUR 12 billion broadband expansion plan. The five priority areas are Smart Cities, business tech and digital skills support, startup acceleration, Internet of Everything and National Broadband Strategy Valuation. MiSE previously announced that a total of EUR 250 million will be allocated to funding innovative startups under the Smart&Start
