Italian operators given until October to pay EUR 228 mln billing fines

Italy's antitrust and competition authority AGCM has extended to 01 October the deadline by which the operators Telecom Italia (TIM), Wind Tre, Vodafone Italia and Fastweb need to pay a fine for their 28-day billing practices. The four operators were fined a total of EUR 228 million earlier this year after the watchdog accused them of infringing competition rules by collectively agreeing to raise their prices after introducing 28-day billing in 2017.
