Italian operators lose appeal against 28-day billing refunds

Monday 15 July 2019 | 09:06 CET | News
The Italian operators Fastweb, Vodafone and Wind Tre have lost their appeal at the Council of State against regulator Agcom's order to reimburse customers for the switch to 28-day billing plans. If customers do not accept the offered compensation, such as bonus data or gifts, the operators must reimburse them for the days of service lost in the switch from monthly to 28-day billing cycles. TIM also filed an appeal against the regulator's decision and a similar ruling is expected.
