Italian operators risk new sanctions over 28-day billing refunds for fixed phone customers

Tuesday 20 August 2019 | 14:59 CET | News
Italian telecom regulator Agcom has launched a new sanction procedure against Fastweb, Telecom Italia (TIM), Vodafone and Wind Tre for not automatically issuing refunds for fixed line bills on a 28-day basis, reports TG1. At the end of 2018, the operators failed in their attempt to suspend Agcom's ruling on the refunds for bills sent in 2017 and early 2018. An appeal against the order at the Council of State has also recently being rejected.
