Italian regulator cracks down on misleading advertising of fibre services

Italian internet providers may only use the term 'fibre' when marketing services that reach either the end user's home or building, communications regulator Agcom said. ISPs must henceforth specify the underlying type of physical infrastructure present when selling fixed-line services, in line with a decree published in October 2017, the authority announced.
