Italy last in EU in 30 Mbps penetration and NGA coverage

Italy is lagging behind in last place among EU member states in 30 Mbps fixed broadband penetration and Next-Generation Access (NGA) coverage, according the European Commission's latest report on the state of the telecoms industry and implementation of the EU regulatory framework. The report reveals that Italy has made some progress towards the achievement of the basic broadband digital agenda targets over the past two years, but its fixed broadband penetrations are still far below the EU average and are progressing slower than in the rest of the continent.
