Italy rolls out Covid-19 contact tracing app 'Immuni'

Italy has finally released an app called "Immuni" ("Immune") to make it easier to alert people who have been in close proximity with someone who has tested positive with Covid-19. The app will then advise them to self-isolate and get tested with a view to limiting the spread of the virus now that the government has started easing restrictions on movement. Immuni is based on software launched last month by Apple and Google, and uses Bluetooth technology to swap codes between mobile devices.
