Italy to implement Caio report "in a stringent manner"

The office of the Italian prime minister Enrico Letta confirmed that the report of telecoms expert Francesco Caio into investment requirements in the country's telecoms infrastructure "will be immediately implemented in a stringent manner". The document drafted by Caio, French economics professor Gerard Pogorel and Scott Marcus, former advisor to the US Federal Communications Commission, was submitted to Letta on 22 January and will be officially presented next week.
