Italy to introduce more transparent and complete phone bills

Italian telecoms regulator Agcom has launched a public consultation on its proposals to make phone bills clearer and more transparent. The wide-ranging proposals included in the draft provision include the requirement to break down the value-added services, i.e. ringtones, games and in-app purchases, that are being charged. Operators are also required to indicate the user's secret migration code and provide detailed information on the quality (contracted download and upload speed) of the fixed and mobile internet connection.
