Italy's AGCM extends Flash Fiber antitrust probe deadline

Tuesday 29 August 2017 | 10:52 CET | News
Italian antitrust watchdog AGCM has announced an extension to its investigation into the Flash Fiber broadband joint venture set up by Telecom Italia and Fastweb last year. The watchdog said it's evaluating the commitment proposals submitted by the parties and won't be issuing its decision until 31 October. Telecom Italia and Fastweb first announced the initiative last year, pledging to invest EUR 1.2 billion to accelerate the rollout of FTTH technology in 29 cities across Italy.
