Italy's CDP moves to raise Open Fiber stake to 60%

Friday 30 April 2021 | 14:02 CET | News
Italian state lender Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) said its board has given its CDP Equity branch the green light to submit an offer to Enel for 10 percent of wholesale operator Open Fiber. Once completed, the transaction would raise CDP's stake in Open Fiber to 60 percent, allowing the state lender to "strengthen its support for a highly important strategic infrastructure for Italy's digitisation and competitiveness."
