Italy's Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) announced that state-owned infrastructure agency Infratel has launched a trial of Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) technology at the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto (Marta). The pilot conducted in association with the Italian Videogames Academy (Aiv) and startup To Be requires visitors to download a dedicated app to 'read' the Li-Fi signal via the smartphone camera. They'll then be able to access interactive multimedia content on some of the individual items on display.
