Italy's Lega concerned about Huawei's involvement in Wi-Fi Italia project

Italy's far-right Lega party has asked the parliament's transport and telecommunications commission to look into the involvement of Huawei in contracts to roll out the Wi-Fi Italia hotspot project, reports Corriere delle Comunicazioni. According to a question submitted by Lega MP Massimiliano Capitanio, the government should make use of so-called 'golden power' legislation aimed at protecting strategic industries to withdraw from contracts signed with the Chinese giant following reports that state-owned infrastructure agency Infratel assigned to Huawei a large part of the technological
