Italy's Open Fiber brings FTTH to more Turin localities

Thursday 28 June 2018 | 11:38 CET | News
The Open Fiber wholesale-only venture of Italian utility giant Enel and state lender CDP has announced that the first commercial fibre-optic offers using its network have been launched in the towns of Grugliasco and Venaria Reale on the outskirts of Turin. The company said the FTTH service is already being marketed via its agreements with Wind Tre in 3,500 households in Grugliasco and 4,000 in Venaria Reale. A total of 22,000 households in the town will eventually be connected, enabling internet access at speeds of up to 1 Gbps, said Open Fiber.
