Jamaica looking to add up to 12 MVNOs this year

Tuesday 14 July 2015 | 14:46 CET | News
Jamaica is aiming to add up to 12 MVNOs to its mobile market this year, reports local daily Jamaica Gleaner, citing the country's Office of Utilities Regulations (OUR). The move marks OUR's second attempt to issue MVNO licenses, following an unsuccessful bid to attract applications back in 2007. There are currently three licensed mobile service providers – Digicel, LIME, soon to be rebranded as Flow, and Traille Caribbean, which was granted a license in May 2013.
