Jasmine to bid for 4G spectrum, seeks foreign partner

Thai telecommunications operator Jasmine International will participate in the next 4G spectrum auction, The Nation reports, citing company CEO Pete Bodharamik. Thailand's National Digital Economy Committee recently ordered the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission to resume planning for the auction of spectrum licences and to complete it by August. According to the company executive, Jasmine plans to set up a joint venture with a foreign partner to bid for a licence. Jasmine wants to own a stake of 25-40 percent in this joint venture.
