Judge tells Apple, Motorola to simplify patent case

Apple and Google-owned Motorola Mobility are using litigation as a business strategy instead of trying to resolve disputes over the use of patented technologies, according to Florida-based US district judge Robert Scola, who said in an order that being part of a strategy of endless litigation "is not a proper uses of this court". The case first filed in 2010 has grown as more patents are added and Apple fights for market share by challenging Motorola's Android phones for copying technologies in its iPhone.
